NCAA Tournament: Which Team will take it all? Placing bets on the NCAA Tournament is something that a lot of people wait around for each year.
This is one of the greatest sporting events in the world for fans and players, and for people who like to bet on sports this remains the same. The fact of the matter is that betting on the NCAA Tournament is not only fun, but if you know what you are doing it can be a profitable endeavor as well. There are several ways that you can bet on the NCAA Tournament. Each one is different, and as long as you know what they all offer you will be ready to go from the start. 1. You can bet on individual games as they are played. When you do this you will work pretty much in the same manner as you would with any other regular season bet; nothing changes. 2. You can fill out an entire bracket, and the winner of the pool is based on a points system. This may be the most common form of betting on the NCAA Tournament. Thousands of offices, newspapers, websites and other groups of people run their own bracket pools each year. 3. Choose the team that you think will win the entire NCAA Tournament, and place a bet on them. This may not be as fun initially as the other two options, but as your team begins to win you will notice the excitement picking up. Now that you know how you can bet on the NCAA Tournament, the next thing is actually choosing which team will win it all. This has never been an easy thing to do, and you will be up against the odds when taking on this task. Most people are sucked into betting on one of the number one seeds. While this is a good idea because they are generally the best teams in the tournament, they do not always win the whole thing. But all in all, when you bet on a number one seed you at least give yourself a chance. Take a team like the University of Florida for example. They won the NCAA Tournament last year, and have all five starters back from that team. Even though they may sound as close to a lock as possible, you have to remember that they were not playing their best basketball at the end of the regular season. In the NCAA Tournament one bad game can spoil the whole thing for any team. Before choosing the team that you think will win the tournament, make sure that you research the brackets. You need to look at the team you want to choose as well as the other teams around them. In other words, look at the overall picture as opposed to a single team. While there is no way of saying for sure who is favored to win the NCAA Tournament, you can still have a lot of fun trying to figure it out. Follow one of the three betting options above so that you have plenty of action to cheer on during March Madness. © Copyright 2007 Chris Bibey's material.
